Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly University of Pune) offers research programmes in different subjects listed in Statute No. 160 and in inter-disciplinary areas leading to the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy.
An applicant shall ordinarily work in a recognized place of research including the University Departments, Research Institutes and Affiliated Colleges recognized by the University.
Please Note : Passing the Ph.D. Online Entrance Examination is no guarantee for admission. Admission depends only on availability of seats and guides.

Students who have failed to register at the departments/ colleges/institutes after passing the previous year online entrance examination, have to re-apply as fresh students.
